Our Pastor

Pastor C. R. Shelby, Sr.
Rev. C. R. Shelby, Sr. was born October 9, 1969 to the late Lovell McNair and Gloria J. Shelby in Gulfport, MS. He attended the public schools of Harrison County and graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1988. Rev. Shelby was converted at the age of six and united with the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in North Gulfport under the leadership of Rev. Reuben Paul Magee. He learned early not to be frivolous with his time or thoughts; both were precious and have been part of his character. The Lord has given Rev. Shelby many opportunities to serve in both of our Associations: the Gulf Coast Baptist and the Shiloh Missionary Baptist District Association.

He is presently serving as the Moderator of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist District Association, President of the Gulf Coast Baptist Center, Academic Dean of the Lift Bible Crusade College and Seminary, Mississippi National Baptist State Convention, Financial Secretary and Chairman of the Receiving Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Amos Network Harrison County. In the past, he served as the Corresponding Secretary of the South Mississippi Baptist State Convention, Assistant Dean of the Sunday School and B.T.U. Congress, South Mississippi State Convention. In addition, he holds membership in the following: Soria City Civic Club, Gulfport Clergy Association, Soria City after School Program, Inter-dominational Ministerial Alliance, Mount Olive Lodge #83 and NAACP.  In January of this year he was present in the 2012 Class Drum Majors for Justice Award Gulfport, MS NAACP. He is married to the former Glenda Fay Brazzle, and has 5 children and 1 granddaughter: Andreu, Caleb, Jr., Kayla, Jonathan, Thomas, and Vania.
